Elni is a fictional language family used in worldbuilding and speculative fiction. It is described as the native tongue of the Elni people, who inhabit the central archipelago of the fictional continent of Asteros. In published material, Elni is often presented alongside neighboring languages to provide a basis for cultural exchange and narrative conflict. The term Elni also appears as the ethnonym for speakers and, occasionally, as the name of a ceremonial register.

Linguistic features: Elni is described as an agglutinative, nominative-accusative language with a subject–object–verb (SOV) base. Noun phrases mark case through suffixes; number is indicated by plural suffixes, and definiteness by a suffixal marker. Verbs encode tense, aspect, mood, voice, and evidentiality through affixes. The language uses vowel harmony across roots and affixes, with a five-vowel system.
