eimza

Eimza, or e-imza, is the term used for electronic signatures in Turkish-speaking contexts. It refers to a digital signature that can be attached to electronic documents to verify the identity of the signer, ensure data integrity, and provide non-repudiation. E-imza is typically implemented using public key infrastructure (PKI): a pair of cryptographic keys (a private key known only to the signer and a public key available to others) and a digital certificate issued by a trusted certificate authority. When a document is signed, a cryptographic hash of the document is encrypted with the signer's private key, producing the signature. Recipients can verify the signature with the signer's public key and the certificate, confirming who signed and that the document has not been altered.

Most jurisdictions regulate e-imza under electronic signature laws; in Turkey, the framework recognizes and governs electronic
