eeterlikud

Eeterlikud is the plural form of the Estonian adjective eeterlik, meaning ethereal or etheric, and relating to the concept of the ether. The word describes qualities that are delicate, airy, or otherworldly, and is commonly found in literary, philosophical, and esoteric contexts. Eeterlik is derived from the root eeter (ether) with the productive suffix -lik, and the plural ending -ud agrees with nouns in plural.

Historically, the term is connected to the idea of a luminous medium once supposed to fill space, the ether; in modern physics this concept has been abandoned, but the word remains in cultural and historical references.

In usage, eeterlikud may describe atmospheres, sounds, or visions that feel intangible or dreamlike. In esoteric and spiritual works, expressions such as eeterlik keha (etheric body) are used to denote a subtle, non-physical level of existence that is said to accompany the physical body.
