doublett

Doublett is a term of limited and inconsistent use in English, and it does not have a widely recognized, standalone definition. In most contexts, it is encountered as a misspelling or variant of the word doublet, or as a proper noun in restricted cases.

The root form doublet comes from the Latin duplex, meaning twofold, and in English it has several senses. It can refer to a historical garment—a fitted jacket worn by men in past centuries.
