Dobókörrl is the term used in Hungarian for the throwing circle in track and field. The standard Hungarian spelling is dobókör, and the form “dobókörrl” appears to be a misspelling. In English it is commonly referred to as the throwing circle. The circle is the circular platform from which athletes release implements in throwing events such as the discus, hammer, and shot put. It forms part of the throwing area within a stadium and is located inside the throwing sector.

Construction and surface: The circle is a flat, hard-surfaced area designed for stability and traction.
