A distillatsioonikolb, also known as a distillation flask, is a piece of laboratory glassware commonly used in chemistry for distillation processes. It is typically a round-bottomed flask with a long, narrow neck. This design is crucial for its function in distillation. The round bottom allows for even heating of the liquid, while the narrow neck facilitates the directed flow of vapor upwards towards a condenser.

The primary purpose of a distillatsioonikolb is to hold the liquid that is to be heated and vaporized. During distillation, the flask is heated, causing the liquid to boil and turn into vapor. This vapor then travels up the neck of the flask.
