Deoksidipohjaisten is a Finnish term used in technical contexts to describe materials or substrates from which oxygen has been removed or significantly reduced. The word is formed from deoksidi (deoxidation) and pohjaisten (based on, foundational), and the plural form deoksidipohjaisten is used when referring to multiple items.

In metallurgy, deoksidipohjaiset teräkset refer to steels that have been deoxidized during production by adding elements such as silicon, aluminum or calcium. These elements bind oxygen to form stable oxides, which helps prevent oxide inclusions in the metal. Deoxidation can improve cleanliness, machinability and mechanical properties, but requires careful process control to avoid adverse effects on other impurities or parameters.
