Deformationerne, literally 'the deformations' in Danish, denotes changes in shape, size, or internal structure of an object under external influences. The concept is used across disciplines to describe how forces, temperatures, magnetic fields, or developmental processes alter form and arrangement.

In materials science and mechanical engineering, deformation can be elastic (reversible) or plastic (permanent).
