Decapitated is a Polish death metal band formed in Krosno in 1996. The band is known for its technical and aggressive style of death metal, often incorporating elements of groove and thrash metal. The current lineup of Decapitated consists of Piotr Wiwczarek on guitars and vocals, Paweł Pasek on bass, and Michał Bober on drums. Wiwczarek is the sole original member and primary songwriter. The band's discography includes albums such as "Winds of Creation" (2000), "Nihility" (2002), "The Negation" (2004), "Organic Hallucinosis" (2006), "Carnival Is Forever" (2011), "Blood Mantra" (2014), and "Anticult" (2017). Their sound has evolved over the years, but they have consistently maintained their signature technical and brutal approach. Decapitated has faced lineup changes, including the tragic death of drummer Witold Kiełtyka in 2007.
