Empirical work on culturedepend uses cross-cultural case studies, ethnographic observation, and discourse analysis to compare how different environments enable or constrain cultural expression. For example, online cultural practices in high-connectivity settings are shaped by platform design and terms of service, while traditional crafts in isolated communities depend on trade networks and external sponsorship.
