Compozitori is the Romanian term for composers, referring to individuals who create music. In Romanian usage, compozitori denote the masculine plural; the feminine plural is compozitoare. Composers conceive original musical ideas, determine form, melody, harmony, rhythm, and instrumentation, and they may work alone or in collaboration with performers, conductors, lyricists, and librettists. Roles may include composing new works, arranging existing material, and, for larger works, orchestrating and supervising performance practice.
