In various technical and mechanical contexts, a collettore refers to a device or component designed to gather or channel multiple streams of fluid, gas, or other substances into a single outlet, or conversely, to distribute a single stream into multiple outlets. The specific design and function of a collettore are highly dependent on its application.

In internal combustion engines, collettori di scarico, or exhaust manifolds, are a common example. These collect exhaust gases from individual cylinders and direct them into a single exhaust pipe. Similarly, collettori di aspirazione, or intake manifolds, distribute the air-fuel mixture from a single source to each cylinder.
