Chabazite is a naturally occurring zeolite mineral. Zeolites are microporous aluminosilicate minerals commonly used as adsorbents and catalysts. Chabazite has a complex crystal structure that forms channels and cavities, allowing it to selectively adsorb and release molecules. It is a member of the gmelinite group.

The chemical formula of chabazite is typically given as (Ca,K2,Na2,Mg)3[Al6Si12O36]·17H2O. The specific composition can vary, with calcium, potassium, sodium, and magnesium being the most common cations present. Chabazite crystals are often found in rhombohedral or prismatic forms.

It can also be found in sedimentary rocks and hydrothermal veins. Notable occurrences include those in the Isle of Skye, Scotland; the Faroes; and many locations in North America.

These properties make it useful in applications such as water purification, gas separation, and as a component in detergents. It can also be synthesized in laboratories for specific industrial uses. The natural mineral is generally not of gem quality, though some specimens may be polished.
