ceramidit

Ceramidit is a term that does not correspond to a recognized chemical compound, mineral, or biotechnological substance in established reference works as of 2024. In some speculative or informal contexts, ceramidit has been used to describe a hypothetical organic–inorganic hybrid that would include ceramide-like lipid molecules linked to an inorganic framework. No peer‑reviewed study has reported its synthesis, structure, or properties, and it is not catalogued in major chemical or mineral databases.

Because ceramide is a family of lipid molecules involved in cell membrane biology, the hypothetical ceramidit would imply an unusual hybrid.
