cFLIPR
cFLIPR is a term with ambiguous usage in scientific literature. It does not designate a single, universally defined entity. In some contexts it refers to the c-FLIP_R isoform of the cellular FLICE-like inhibitory protein, a regulator of death receptor–mediated apoptosis. In other contexts it appears as an informal shorthand for calcium-related measurements conducted with FLIPR technology, i.e., calcium flux readouts using a Fluorescent Imaging Plate Reader.
c-FLIP_R is one of several isoforms of c-FLIP, a catalytically inactive caspase-8–like protein that modulates death
