Burettaburette is not a standard term in widely used English, and its meaning may vary by context. It can refer to a burette that is part of a dual-burette system, where two burettes are mounted in a shared framework to dispense two solutions either sequentially or simultaneously. In some language variants, the word may simply be a repetition or translation of burette (buretta, bureta).

In analytical chemistry, a burette is a long, narrow glass or plastic tube with uniform graduations and a stopcock at the bottom. It is used to deliver precise volumes of liquid during titration. A dual-burette setup consists of two such tubes sharing a support, enabling complex titration schemes, back-titration, or automation where a second reagent is added from the second channel. The two channels are typically calibrated independently.

Use and maintenance: Inspect for cracks, rinse with the titration solvent, fill above the zero mark, remove air, clamp vertically, and read the bottom of the meniscus at eye level for precision. Drip rate should be controlled, and the stopcock should operate smoothly. After use, wash with appropriate solvents and store upright.

Applications: Burettes are widely used in acid–base, redox, precipitation, and complexometric titrations, as well as standardizing solutions and in teaching laboratories. Calibration and accuracy depend on careful handling, regular cleaning, and verification against known standards.
