The word is formed from the demonstrative root here (bur) combined with the ablative suffix -dan/-den.

In usage, buradan can accompany verbs of movement, position, or change, as well as be used in analytical or demonstrative contexts. Examples include “Buradan gidiyoruz” (We are leaving from here) and “Buradan hareketle bu sonucu çıkarabiliriz” (From this, we can derive this result).
