Bioenergiák, often translated as bioenergy, refers to energy derived from organic matter, known as biomass. Biomass is any material that comes from plants or animals. Another important process is anaerobic digestion, where organic matter decomposes in the absence of oxygen, producing biogas, primarily methane, which can be used as fuel. Biofuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel, are liquid fuels produced from biomass and are often used in transportation.

The use of bioenergiák offers several advantages. It can contribute to reducing reliance on fossil fuels, thereby lowering greenhouse gas emissions if managed sustainably. It can also provide a source of income for agricultural and forestry sectors and offer solutions for waste management. However, concerns exist regarding land use for biomass production, potential impacts on food security, and the sustainability of harvesting practices. Careful planning and responsible management are crucial for maximizing the benefits of bioenergy while mitigating potential negative consequences.
