Betændelsesprocesser, also known as inflammation, are a fundamental biological response of the body's immune system to harmful stimuli such as pathogens, damaged cells, or irritants. Chronic inflammation is characterized by the simultaneous occurrence of active inflammation, tissue destruction, and attempts at repair.
