Baseprisen, meaning the base price, is a term used in Danish and Norwegian commerce to denote the primary price of a product or service that serves as a reference point for pricing decisions. It usually represents the price before additional charges such as value-added tax, shipping, handling, or optional add-ons, and before any discounts or promotions are applied. Because the base price functions as a reference, it is commonly used for comparisons, for setting sale prices, and for calculating savings.

In retail, the base price is often the list price or manufacturer suggested price. Retailers may frame a discount as relative to the baseprisen, for example claiming a price reduction from the base price. In procurement and auctions, the base price can denote the minimum acceptable bid or reserve price.

The final price visible to consumers may differ from the baseprisen due to taxes, delivery charges, and optional features. Some price-display rules require that the base price and the final price are clearly indicated to aid comparison.
