Bakelitové is a Czech adjective meaning "made of Bakelite." Bakelite itself is a brand name for a type of thermosetting plastic, a synthetic polymer, developed in 1907 by Leo Baekeland. It was one of the first synthetic plastics to be produced on a commercial scale and is known for its durability, electrical insulation properties, and heat resistance.
