Awaji is an island located in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan, administratively part of Hyōgo Prefecture. It is the largest island in the Inland Sea and lies off the coast of Honshu. The island is connected to Honshu by the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and to Shikoku by the Ōnaruto Bridge, forming part of the Kobe-Awaji-Naruto Expressway.
