An avbrytare, commonly known in English as a "circuit breaker," is an automated safety device designed to interrupt electrical power flow in a circuit to prevent damage from overloads, short circuits, or faults. The primary function of an avbrytare is to protect electrical systems, appliances, and infrastructure from potential hazards such as fires, equipment failure, or power surges. By cutting off the current when abnormal conditions are detected, it helps maintain the integrity of the electrical network and ensures the safety of connected devices.
