autoadeziv
Autoadeziv, or self-adhesive, refers to a class of materials designed to bond to surfaces with a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) under light, contact pressure, without the need for solvents or heat. The typical construction consists of a face stock (the backing material) coated with an adhesive on one side and protected by a release liner that is removed before use. When pressed onto a surface, the PSA forms a bond through tack and intermolecular forces.
Backings can be paper, film (such as polypropylene or polyester), or metal foil. Liner materials are silicone-coated
Formats and uses include labels, tags, tapes, stickers, laminates, medical devices, electronics, and automotive applications. Self-adhesive
Variations encompass permanent, removable, and repositionable adhesives, as well as specialty PSAs for low-surface-energy plastics, high-humidity
