Aszfaltút is the Hungarian word for asphalt road. It refers to a paved road surface constructed primarily from asphalt concrete, a composite material made of asphalt binder and mineral aggregates. This type of road construction is widely used globally due to its durability, smooth riding surface, and relatively cost-effective installation and maintenance.

The asphalt binder, typically a bitumen derived from petroleum, acts as a glue to hold the aggregate particles together.
