Aratrmaclarn is a proposed rare silicate mineral described in recent mineralogical literature as a member of the aluminosilicate group. It is reported to form in high-temperature, high-pressure environments within ultramafic rocks and is distinguished by a layered framework of silicon and aluminum tetrahedra with interlayer cations.

Composition and structure: Aratrmaclarn is thought to contain aluminum, silicon, oxygen, and alkali or alkaline-earth cations, with trace iron or magnesium. The structure is described as a framework silicate with partial layering, allowing interlayer water or vacancies under certain conditions.

Physical properties: Crystals are typically prismatic to tabular, colorless to pale green or olive, with a vitreous luster. Mohs hardness is estimated around 5 to 6, and the specific gravity around 3.1 to 3.5. Cleavage is imperfect, and fracture is uneven.
