anturite
Anturite is a relatively new mineral that was first discovered in the early 2000s. It is a rare silicate mineral, with its chemical formula being Ca(Si2O5). Anturite is known for its distinctive deep purple color, often with streaks or inclusions of lighter shades of pink or white. The crystals are typically small and prismatic, and they exhibit a vitreous luster.
The mineral is found in association with other rare earth elements and phosphates, often within pegmatite formations.
