Anarcholibertarianism, sometimes called anarcho-capitalism or libertarian anarchism, is a political philosophy that advocates for the abolition of the state and the enforcement of private property rights through non-state institutions. Anarcholibertarians believe that all voluntary exchanges between individuals are beneficial and that government intervention hinders such exchanges and infringes on individual liberty.

Key tenets of anarcholibertarianism include the non-aggression principle, which states that it is illegitimate to initiate force or the threat of force against another person or their property. They argue that the state, by its very nature, relies on coercion through taxation and regulation. In an anarcholibertarian society, defense, law enforcement, and dispute resolution would be provided by private agencies competing in a free market.

Critics often raise concerns about the feasibility of such a system, questioning how private agencies would prevent monopolies, ensure justice for all, and protect the vulnerable. They also point to the potential for societal chaos and inequality without a central governing body to establish and enforce universal laws and social safety nets. Anarcholibertarians counter that market competition and private contracts would effectively address these issues, creating a more just and prosperous society than one governed by a state.
