Ammoniaoniumühendid, commonly referred to as ammonium compounds, are chemical substances that contain the ammonium cation, NH4+. This cation is formed when ammonia (NH3) gains a proton (H+) from an acid. Ammonium compounds are salts that result from the reaction of ammonia with an acid.
