alkalmazottat

Alkalmazott is a Hungarian noun meaning a person employed by an employer in exchange for compensation. The form alkalmazottat is the definite accusative singular, used when the employee is the direct object of the verb, for example in felmondták az alkalmazottat (they terminated the employee).

The base noun alkalmazott exists alongside munkavállaló, another common term for an employee. They are often used interchangeably, but munkavállaló is typically more formal and appears frequently in legal and administrative texts, whereas alkalmazott emphasizes the employment relationship.
