Aljzatbeton, or subfloor concrete, is a structural concrete slab laid on a prepared subbase to form the base of a floor. It provides a rigid, level plane to carry loads from walls, furniture and finishing floors, and it helps distribute loads evenly across the substructure. Depending on the floor design, it may also accommodate insulation or work in conjunction with moisture and vapor barriers as part of the floor assembly.

Typically, aljzatbeton consists of cement, aggregates, water and sometimes admixtures to improve workability, durability or thermal performance. Reinforcement such as welded mesh, steel bars or fiber additives may be used for crack control and to increase shear and bending resistance. The slab thickness and concrete strength are chosen according to expected loads, span, and whether it serves as a base for underfloor heating or other systems. Common thicknesses range from about 8 to 20 centimeters for domestic floors, with greater thickness and higher strength for industrial or load-bearing applications.

Construction generally involves preparing the subgrade, laying a sub-base and moisture barrier where required, and installing insulation and reinforcement. The concrete is then poured, compacted and finished with a screed or trowel to achieve a smooth, flat surface. After casting, curing is essential to gain adequate strength and minimize cracking, typically involving controlled moisture, temperature, and protection from rapid drying for several days and beyond. In practice, aljzatbeton serves as the structural and basal element of a floor, over which finishing surfaces such as tiles, parquet, or vinyl are installed, and it may be designed to accommodate underfloor heating.
