Al-Muwallad, also known as Abd al-Rahman ibn Muhammad ibn al-Muwallad, was a prominent figure in early Islamic history, serving as the second governor of al-Andalus (modern-day Spain and Portugal) under the Umayyad Caliphate. Born in the late 8th century, he was the son of Muhammad ibn al-Muwallad, the first governor of al-Andalus, and played a key role in consolidating Umayyad rule in the region.
