alFaww

al-Faww is a village and the administrative center of the Al Faww District in Taiz Governorate, Yemen. Located in the western highlands of Yemen, the village lies at an elevation of 1,448 meters above sea level. The district, in which the village is situated, covers an area of approximately 234.9 square kilometers and has a population of around 37,546 people.

The village of al-Faww serves as a key agricultural and economic hub in the region, with many residents engaged in farming and animal husbandry. The district's terrain is characterized by a mix of rugged hills, valleys, and plains, which supports a variety of crops including wheat, barley, maize, and fruits. The village is also an important center for the production of qat, a shrub native to the Arabian Peninsula, whose leaves are chewed socially for stimulating effect.
