Alíciclicos are a class of organic compounds that contain one or more carbocyclic rings. Carbocyclic rings are rings where all the atoms in the ring are carbon atoms. The presence of unsaturation introduces rigidity and different reactivity patterns compared to their saturated counterparts.

They also serve as important building blocks and intermediates in the synthesis of a wide range of organic chemicals, including pharmaceuticals, polymers, and fragrances.
