akkumulera

Akkumulera is a verb used in Swedish (and related Nordic languages) meaning to accumulate: to gather, collect, or build up something gradually over time. It can describe wealth, resources, data, experience, substances, or energy. The process or result of accumulation is often rendered with the noun akkumulering, while akkumulator may appear when referring to a device or concept that stores accumulated quantities.

The term derives from Latin accumulare, through Old French accumuler and German Akkumulation; it was borrowed into Swedish in the 18th–19th centuries and has cognates in other Nordic languages (for example akkumulere in Norwegian).
