Aivastuksia, often translated as "sneezes" in English, refers to the involuntary expulsion of air from the nose and mouth. This physiological reflex is a common bodily function triggered by irritation of the nasal mucous membranes. The irritation can be caused by a variety of stimuli, including dust, pollen, pet dander, strong odors, or even sudden exposure to bright light (known as the photic sneeze reflex).
