Afkoelfase is a term used in several technical and industrial contexts to describe the period in which a material or product is cooled after a previous high-temperature step, such as heating, casting, welding, or extrusion. The goal of the afkoelfase is to bring the item to a target temperature range that is safe for handling, storage, or further processing, while also influencing the material’s final properties.
