Adjuvare is a Latin verb meaning "to help, aid, assist." It belongs to the first conjugation and has the principal parts adiuvō, adiuvāre, adiūvī, adiūtum. In classical Latin it is used with a direct object, as in Pater filium adiuvāvit, “The father aided his son.”

The word gives rise to several English derivatives.
