adhesivesuch
Adhesivesuch (Latin: Adhesusu cetum) is an extinct genus of semi‑aquatic crocodylomorph that lived during the Late Jurassic period. The only known species, Adhesivesuch interstitialis, was discovered in the Morrison Formation of North America. The creature measured about 2.5 metres in length and possessed specialized toe pads and a flattened tail, enabling it to cling to wet rock faces in shallow river valleys. Scientists infer that this adaptation was used for ambush predation and for protection against strong currents.
The adhesive toe pads contain a dense network of keratinised setae, analogous to those found in modern
In the palaeoecological context, Adhesivesuch coexisted with early dinosaurs such as Stegosaurus and large sauropods. Stable
