Zásadotvorných

Zásadotvorných refers to a group of plants that have the ability to form alliances with specific microorganisms, particularly fungi, which inhabit their roots. This relationship, known as mycorrhizal association, allows the plants to obtain essential nutrients and water from the surrounding soil.

The term "zásadotvorných" is derived from the Czech language and roughly translates to " Merkantile bile" or plants that establish symbiotic relationships. These plants typically belong to the following categories: trees, shrubs, and certain species of grasses. They share common characteristics such as root structure, which facilitates the exchange of nutrients and information with their fungal counterparts.

In return for providing access to nutrients, these plants offer their fungal partners carbon-rich compounds produced during photosynthesis. This mutually beneficial arrangement allows both the plant and fungus to thrive in a range of environments, from extreme soil conditions to urban landscaping.

Research on the zásadotvorných has led to a greater understanding of plant-fungal interactions and their impact on ecosystems.
