Zwolle
Zwolle is a city and municipality in the eastern Netherlands. It is the capital of the province of Overijssel and an important regional transport and economic hub. The city lies where the IJssel river and Zwarte Water meet, and is known for its historic center formed around canals and gabled townhouses. Zwolle's origins date to the Middle Ages; it became a member of the Hanseatic League and developed as a trading town connected to northern Europe. Today it has a population of roughly 125,000–130,000 residents.
