Zuckerquellen
Zuckerquellen refers to the origins and sources of sugar. Historically, sugar cane has been the primary source, cultivated in tropical and subtropical regions for its sweet juice, which is processed into granulated sugar. Another significant source is sugar beet, a root vegetable grown in temperate climates, which also yields sucrose. These two plants account for the vast majority of global sugar production.
Beyond these major sources, other plants can be used to extract sugars, though on a smaller scale.
