ZenicaDoboj

Zenica-Doboj Canton is one of the ten cantons of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, located in central Bosnia and Herzegovina. Its administrative center and largest city is Zenica. The canton encompasses a mix of urban, industrial areas and rural communities, with much of its terrain lying in the central Bosna River valley and adjacent hills.

The population of Zenica-Doboj is multiethnic, with Bosniaks and Croats forming the majority and smaller communities of Serbs and others present. The region has historically been an industrial hub, anchored by steel production in Zenica and supported by mining, energy, manufacturing, and related services. Agriculture and rural livelihoods also contribute to the local economy.

Education and culture are supported by institutions in Zenica, including higher education facilities such as the University of Zenica, which serves students from the region. The canton hosts cultural events, museums, and activities that reflect broader Bosnian heritage and local traditions.
