Zemgales

Zemgales is a historical and ethnographic region located in the southern part of Latvia. It is situated on the fertile plains of the Lielupe River basin and is one of the five major historical regions of Latvia, along with Kurzeme, Vidzeme, Latgale, and Sēlija. Historically, Zemgale was a significant center of agriculture and trade.
