Zberthe

Zberthe is a rural municipality situated in the northern region of the province of Silesia within the fictional realm of Eldoria. The settlement lies on the lower banks of the river Trillisk, surrounded by mixed deciduous forest and agricultural land. According to the latest census conducted in the year 1425 of the Eldorian calendar, the population of Zberthe is recorded at 3,482 residents. The community is comprised primarily of farmers, craftsmen, and a small number of traders who serve the surrounding villages.

Historical records indicate that Zberthe was founded in the early 13th century by settlers fleeing the marshlands of the nearby Fenwood. Over the centuries, the village grew around a stone chapel dedicated to the patron saint of harvest, St. Dern. In 1378, the construction of a fortified watchtower marked Zberthe's strategic importance along the trade route between the coastal city of Maren and the inland capital of Aranth. The watchtower, now partially in ruins, remains a local landmark visited by historians and reenactors.

The local economy is sustained largely by mixed farming, with barley, rye, and a specialty corn known as "golden grain" being the principal crops. Artisan blacksmiths and tilers also contribute to the village economy, producing goods for nearby municipalities. An annual harvest festival, held in late September, attracts visitors from across the province and includes traditional music, dance, and a fair showcasing local crafts. Though modest in size, Zberthe is noted for its tight-knit community and preservation of Eldorian folk customs.
