ZEROBASEONE, often abbreviated as ZB1, is a South Korean boy group formed by WakeOne through the 2023 Mnet survival competition show "Boys Planet". The group officially debuted on July 10, 2023, with their extended play (EP) "Youth in the Shade". The group consists of nine members: Kim Ji-woong, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook, Han Yu-jin, and Zhang Hao.

"Boys Planet" began airing in February 2023, featuring trainees from various countries competing for a spot in the final lineup. The show concluded in April 2023, with the nine highest-ranking contestants forming the group ZEROBASEONE. Their debut EP, "Youth in the Shade," achieved commercial success, breaking pre-order records for a K-pop debut album at the time. The EP explores themes of youth, growth, and the complexities of their journey.

The group's name, ZEROBASEONE, signifies the members' starting point from zero and their ambition to become one. They aim to represent the pure beginnings and potential of youth.
