Z32

The Z32 refers to the third generation of Nissan's Z-car sports car, produced from 1989 to 2000. Officially known as the Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan and the Nissan 300ZX in export markets, the Z32 marked a significant departure from its predecessors with a completely redesigned chassis and body. It was available in both coupe and convertible body styles, and importantly, as both a naturally aspirated and a twin-turbocharged model.

A key feature of the Z32 was its advanced technology for its time, particularly the twin-turbocharged variant. This model was powered by Nissan's VG30DETT, a 3.0-liter V6 engine equipped with two turbochargers, producing impressive horsepower and torque figures. The naturally aspirated version, the VG30DE, also offered strong performance. The Z32 was known for its sophisticated handling, thanks in part to its multi-link suspension system and optional four-wheel steering (4WS) on some models, which enhanced agility.

The design of the Z32 was characterized by its sleek, aerodynamic lines, pop-up headlights, and a distinctive glass-top roof panel on some versions. Inside, the cabin featured a driver-focused cockpit with an advanced dashboard. The Z32 garnered critical acclaim upon its release for its performance, styling, and technological innovation, cementing its place as a respected sports car of its era. While production ceased in 2000, it remains a popular choice among enthusiasts for its blend of performance and unique design.
