Yolky
Yolky refers to something resembling or containing a yolk, most commonly the yolk of an egg. In culinary contexts, it often describes the appearance or texture of a dish that has a rich, yellow hue and a creamy, fatty consistency, much like a cooked egg yolk. For instance, sauces, custards, or pasta dishes might be described as yolky if they are particularly dense and golden. The term can also be used informally to describe a color that is a deep yellow, reminiscent of the pigment found in an egg yolk. It is not a technical term in chemistry or biology, but rather a descriptive adjective based on sensory characteristics. The association with egg yolks lends a sense of richness and perhaps even slight heaviness to the descriptor.
