Yksikytkiset

Yksikytkiset, a Finnish term, translates to "single-pole" or "single-throw" in English and refers to a type of electrical switch. A single-pole switch controls a single circuit. It has one input terminal and one output terminal. When the switch is in the "on" position, it completes the circuit, allowing electricity to flow. When it is in the "off" position, it breaks the circuit, interrupting the flow of electricity. This is the most basic type of switch and is commonly found in household applications for controlling lights or small appliances. The term "single-throw" refers to the fact that the switch has only one action or position to complete the circuit (as opposed to a double-throw switch which can connect to one of two different circuits).
