Yförmige

Yförmige is an adjective used to describe a shape or form that resembles the letter Y. It denotes a structure where a single origin point gives rise to two diverging arms, typically meeting at a single junction. The term is used across disciplines and is conceptually equivalent to the more common German form Y-förmig.

In biology, Y-shaped forms are exemplified by immunoglobulin G antibodies, which have two antigen-binding arms extending from a common stem.
